Job Summary

The Senior Executive Logistics (EXIM) is responsible for the seamless execution of end-to-end export and import operations. This role ensures full compliance with international trade regulations and government schemes while managing documentation, coordinating with external service providers (CHAs and forwarders), and liaising with internal production and procurement teams to maintain a lean and efficient supply chain.

Core Responsibilities

  • Documentation & Statutory Compliance
  • EXIM Documentation: Manage the complete lifecycle of export and import documentation, including preparation, review, and rigorous follow-up.
  • Government Schemes: Oversee compliance and application processes for various monitoring systems and certifications, including SIMS (Steel Import Monitoring System), PIMS (Paper Import Monitoring System), EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility), and AEO (Authorized Economic Operator).
  • Customs Specializations: Handle Self-Sealing protocols for export containers and manage SVB (Special Valuation Branch) matters related to transactions between related parties.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay current on all government notifications from GST , DGFT (Director General of Foreign Trade), and CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs) to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Logistics & Operational Execution
  • Shipment Tracking: Maintain real-time tracking of all international consignments and ensure all internal records are updated regularly.
  • Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between production departments for container de-stuffing (FCL/LCL) and the planning team for export shipment bookings.
  • Last-Mile Management: Coordinate directly with drivers and transporters to monitor shipment status until final delivery.
  • Field Visits: Travel to Customs or Government offices as required to facilitate clearances or resolve administrative issues.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Service Provider Liaison: Build and maintain strong external relationships with Custom House Agents (CHAs) and Freight Forwarders .
  • Negotiation: Drive cost-efficiency through active vendor development and negotiation of freight and service rates.
  • Financial Accountability: Verify CHA and transport invoices for accuracy before submission to the Finance department.
  • Global Communication: Manage professional correspondence with overseas customers and suppliers regarding shipment logistics.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in export and import consignment execution.
  • Education: Any Bachelor's Degree.
  • Software Proficiency:
  • SAP SD Module: Mandatory proficiency for managing sales, distribution, and logistics data.
  • Google Sheets: Advanced skills required for data management and reporting.
  • Reporting: Ability to prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports . ## Internal & External Relationships
  • Internal: Procurement, Production, and SCM (Supply Chain Management) departments.
  • External: CHAs, Freight Forwarders, and various Government departments for material tracking and licensing.
