Job Details:

Job Title: Buyer

Experience: 4-6 years

Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering

Key Responsibilities:

1.Procurement of Chemicals:

  • Manage the procurement of various chemicals, resins, and media required to produce pharmaceuticals and bio pharmaceuticals, including vaccines, QC labs, and R&D labs. This includes sourcing from Europe, China, the US, etc., with a spend base of 150 Cr.
  • Source impurities, columns, and consumables.
  • Source clinical services for new molecule development and external testing of existing products.
  • Convert Purchase Requisitions (PR) to Purchase Orders (PO) based on techno-commercial recommendations within SLA.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods through effective follow-up and coordination with vendors and end-users.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for project tracking and execution.

2. Negotiation:

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, focusing on pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any quality or delivery issues.

3.Vendor Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Regularly evaluate supplier performance and address any issues that arise.

4.Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and industry regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
