Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Track daily Asia container stock levels across ocean terminals and inland depots to maintain healthy inventory balances
  • Assist in analyzing equipment supply-and-demand imbalances to identify potential deficit and surplus locations
  • Coordinate the timely release and fulfillment of empty containers to support local sales and booking requirements
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory, vessel utilization, and operational KPI reports
  • Coordinate the positioning of empty containers from surplus ports to deficit locations using feeder, main-haul, rail, and trucking networks
  • Liaise with Space Control and Vessel Operations to secure empty repositioning space
  • Support weekly regional flow meetings to track EP execution, address bottlenecks, and communicate upcoming operational plans
  • Identify operational bottlenecks in daily flow routines and suggest actionable workflow improvements
  • Review Empty Positioning costs and identify equipment movements to flag illogical or redundant routings
  • Utilize stock simulation tools and predictive models to track equipment deficits and input accurate forecasting parameters
  • Participate in the testing, user adoption, and optimization of new digital flow management tools and automated workflows
  • Cross-Functional Support: Coordinate closely with local port offices, RHQ, and GHQ counterparts to resolve daily operational bottlenecks
  • Assist with monitoring off-hire performance
  • Execute ad-hoc tasks and strategic assignments as delegated by the Manager / HOD

Requirements

  • Degree in Maritime Studies or relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of related experience
  • Strong communication skills and presentations skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities under pressure, sharp attention to detail, and strong cross-cultural communication skills to coordinate with international offices.
