Job Description

Brief about the role/ team/ candidate requirement-

The role involves system monitoring, testing, automation, documentation, and collaborative efforts to enhance overall operational efficiency. It is a key position in ensuring the smooth functioning, reliability, and continuous improvement of OCC (Operations Control Center) systems, including Jeppesen Operations Control, AIMS, Navitaire, SITA/ACARS, and related platforms

Qualification & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, IT, or related field.

- 24 years of experience in airline operations, OCC systems, or IT systems management.

- Exposure to aviation systems and operational workflows preferred.

Skill set:

- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, IATA movement messages, seasonal schedule messages, and ad-hoc schedule messages.

- Ability to develop, maintain, and update Excel-based reports to support operational and project analysis.

- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, logical formulas, text functions).

- Strong understanding of FTPs, SFTPs, MFTs, and cloud migration processes.

- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and operational teams.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job responsibility

  • Collaborate with the Operations Control team to conduct regular quality and performance assessments of Jeppesen Operations Control, AIMS systems, Navitaire, and SITA/ACARS to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and user feedback to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Execute thorough testing and timely deployment of patches provided by Jeppesen/AIMS, maintaining system integrity and performance standards.
  • Monitor and report the performance of JOC/AIMS/Station View & Recovery Solver to ensure operational reliability.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and application acceptance processes to validate system changes and enhancements based on user requirements.
  • Investigate existing systems to identify underutilized features and implement new functionalities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and execute automation and transformation initiatives to convert manual processes into streamlined, automated workflows.
  • Initiate and drive cost-saving measures and process improvements aimed at enhancing operational performance and reducing overhead.
  • Act as a liaison with the operational desk to ensure seamless system performance by proactively identifying and resolving workflow disruptions.
  • Provide ongoing support to the OCC desk in daily operations, assisting with routine tasks to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and foster a culture of continuous improvement within OCC operations.
  • Creation of manuals (training materials and guides) and keeping track of new patches.
  • Consolidate and summarize data from multiple sources to support decision-making and performance monitoring activities.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from stakeholders, ensuring timely and precise output.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on system performance data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all OCC processes to ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility for current and future operational needs.
