Foxtaleis a fast-growing D2C skincare brand focused on science-backed, performance-driven products.We are looking for a performance-drivenVideo Editorwho can turn raw footage into high-impact, conversion-focused video content. This role sits at the intersection ofcreativity and performance marketing, requiring strong storytelling, sharp editing instincts, and an understanding of how videos drive results across digital platforms.
You will work closely with creative strategists and designers to create, test, andoptimizevideo assets that perform across the full marketing funnel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Video Editing for Performance Advertising
- Create high-impact ad edits for Meta, Google, YouTube, and short-form platforms (Reels, Shorts, etc.).
- Edit UGC, creator content, in-house shoots, product demos, testimonials, beforeafter visuals, and brand films.
- Build strong hooks, fast-paced intros, and clean storytelling aligned with funnel goals (TOF / MOF / BOF).
- Optimizepacing, transitions, overlays, supers, and CTAs to improve CTR, CVR, and ROAS.
2. Creative Conceptualization & Script Execution
- Work closely with the Creative Strategist to translate scripts, hooks, and storyboards into compelling video assets.
- Proactively suggest creative angles, shot ideas, editing styles, and narrative structures based on platform trends.
- Convert raw footage into multiple edit variations for testing and optimization.
3. Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancements
- Add supers, animations, product highlights, text overlays, transitions, and branded frames to elevate edits.
- Ensure visual consistency, strong hierarchy, and clarity in communication across all videos.
- Create GIFs,cinemagraphs, and motion-led assets whenrequired.
4. UGC & Influencer Content Optimization
- Adapt influencer and creator videos into polished, performance-oriented ad creatives.
- Improve framing, audio,colour, pacing, cropping, stabilization, and formatting to meet platform standards.
- Produce multiple creative variants to support A/B testing and creative scaling.
5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Designer and Creative Strategist to ensure cohesive visual and narrative output.
- Provide inputs on footage requirements, shoot planning, and creator guidelines.
- Maintain structured file management, naming conventions, version control, andeditlibraries.
6. Performance Feedback & Iterations
- Rapidly iterate on creatives based on performance insights such as ad fatigue, drop-offs, hook performance, and thumb-stop rate.
- Build andmaintaina library of high-performing edit structures, formats, and evergreen templates.
Requirements:
- 35 years of experience in video editing, preferably within D2C, beauty, lifestyle, or performance-led digital brands.
- Strong portfolioshowcasingad creatives, reels, UGC edits, product videos, and performance-focused content.
- Proficiencyin Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing tools.
- Solid understanding of short-form video trends and platform-specific best practices.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling hooks and narratives.
- Goodeyefordesign, motion, typography, and sound/musicselection.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume creative environments.
