Job Description
You will work with
You will partner with engineering teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to enable adoption and optimization of our in-house platform. This role involves guiding teams through best practices, providing technical consulting, and ensuring seamless integration of database capabilities into enterprise workflows.
Let Me Tell You About The Role
As a Database Platform Enablement Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping teams leverage our platform for database solutions. Your focus will be on
PostgreSQL and
MySQL, while supporting
NoSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle as secondary technologies. You will consult on architecture, migration strategies, performance tuning, and operational excellence, ensuring that platform capabilities align with business objectives.
What You Will Deliver
- Enable teams to adopt and optimize PostgreSQL and MySQL on the in-house platform.
- Provide consulting and advisory services for database design, performance tuning, and scalability.
- Guide teams through migration projects and integration with enterprise systems.
- Develop best practice frameworks, governance models, and enablement playbooks.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence roadmap and feature enhancements.
Technical Skills
What you will need to be successful
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL administration and optimization.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra), SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Experience with cloud-hosted databases and hybrid environments.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and query optimization.
Consulting Skills
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with senior leaders and technical teams.
- Solution Design: Translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Communication & Facilitation: Conduct workshops, demos, and technical presentations.
- Documentation & Enablement: Create clear guides, playbooks, and training material.
Essential Attributes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a consultative, advisory capacity with multiple teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Skills That Set You Apart
- Experience in platform evangelism and enablement roles.
- Certifications in PostgreSQL/MySQL or cloud database specialties.
- Exposure to enterprise-scale migrations and compliance frameworks.
