About the Role

The Product Security team at Navi partners closely with engineering to embed security into every phase of development. From secure design reviews and threat modeling to rigorous app security, we focus on preventing issues before they reach production. Our collaboration with DevOps and adoption of automated tools strengthens our cloud and code security posture. Through initiatives like Security Week and industry engagement, we champion a culture of security awareness across teams. With a focus on continuous improvement, we aim to make security scalable, proactive, and developer-friendly.

What We Expect From You

• Develop and maintain Navi's security strategy in alignment with Engineering and Product functions.
• Design and maintain a security architecture framework, ensuring security controls are integrated into product and application designs.
• Build and mentor the Product Security team, helping engineers grow in their careers.
• Define and evolvesecurity baselines and design patterns aligned with industry standards and best practices.
• Review and guide teams on implementing security standards, requirements, and technology baselines.
• Providesecure design guidance to application and product teams.
• Implement and ownsecure SDLC and DevSecOps processes across the product portfolio.
• Establish and manage a product security incident response process.
• Drive a strong security culture through a Security Champions program across teams.
• Manageteam operations including hiring, training, talent development, and performance management.
• Deliver visibility into risk appetite and thresholds, and devise a risk management plan for leadership.

Must Haves

• Spanning over 8 years in comparable positions, with a minimum of 2 years in people management and strategic leadership roles.
• Establishes robust relationships with both direct reports and colleagues across the organization. Fosters talent within the team and elevates technical standards during recruitment.
• Identifies impactful and pragmatic security solutions, from immediate wins to long-term investments.
• Proficient in setting and communicating priorities for themselves and the team, ensuring efficient execution.
