Job Description
This Group designs and develops network management solutions for the entire portfolio of Tejas devices working across technologies like SDH/SONET, OTN, DWDM, GPON, Carrier Ethernet and MPLS-TP. It includes support for the 4G and 5G wireless ecosystem management. The group's
flagship product's (TejNMS) unique value proposition is that it provides a unified and comprehensive management solution for multi-technology layered networks for telecom service providers and enterprises. The product supports extensive fault & performance monitoring and an intuitive, user-friendly graphical user interface to visualize and provision a multi-layer network using point & click remotely. The solution follows the ITU-T standard TNM architecture and supports TMF and TAPI complaint standard interfaces to enable deployment of Software Defined Networks (SDN).
Responsibilities
- Software Development: Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions using Python, with a focus on telecom applications.
- Data Processing & Analytics: Work on processing large volumes of data, including parsing, aggregating, and analyzing network data to extract actionable insights.
- API Development: Create and maintain APIs communication and integration with other platforms.
- Code Optimization & Review: Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, and participate in peer code reviews to maintain high standards.
- Testing & Debugging: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and debugging processes to ensure the software meets quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, network engineers, and DevOps, to ensure project alignment with business goals.
- Documentation: Document the development process, architecture, and standard procedures for easy maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies within Python and telecom domains.
Qualifications
Mandatory skills:
- Proficiency in Python programming with experience in Django frameworks.
- API development experience, especially with RESTful services and design patterns
- Experience with data processing and analysis techniques in Python.
- Proficiency with MySQL and Postgres databases for handling large data sets.
- Tools:
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with an ability to troubleshoot complex software and telecom issues.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision in data-heavy applications.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes as required.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices in telecom.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS) is extra plus
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience in Optical Technologies like DWDM & network planning tool
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 4 to 5 years experience from Telecommunication or Networking background.
- Education: B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE/EEE/IS) or any other equivalent degree
- Candidate should be good at coding skills in Python

Tejas Networks provides scalable and innovative 4G/5G solutions. Our portfolio encompasses Radio Access Network solutions including Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) or Radio Units (RUs), Massive MIMO Radios (Advanced Antenna Systems, AAS) and Base Band Units (BBUs), Distributed Units (DUs) and Centralized Units (CUs), Mobile Packet Core and an Advanced Network management solution.
