Job Title: Senior Engineer - SAP BW & Azure Data

We are seeking a well-rounded Data Developer with 4–6 years of experience working with both SAP BW and Azure data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in SAP BW (including data modeling, extractors, and BEx queries), along with hands-on experience—or strong working knowledge—of Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and ideally Azure Databricks. Exposure to visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau is expected. This is a cross-functional role that bridges legacy enterprise systems with modern data platforms and reporting environments.

• Tools: DEVOPS, Visual Studio & TFS, GIT.
• Database: SQL Server.
• Methodologies: Agile (SCRUM)
• SAP BW / SAC
• PowerBI / Tableau

Key Responsibilities:

• 4–6 years of experience in data engineering or development roles in large scale projects
• Design, develop, and maintain data models and queries within SAP BW (7.x or BW/4HANA), including InfoProviders, DSO/ADSOs, CompositeProviders, and BEx reports
• Build and maintain Azure-based data pipelines using Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and SQL-based transformations
• Support integration and synchronization of data between SAP BW and Azure platforms for analytics and reporting
• Collaborate with functional teams and BI analysts to ensure alignment between SAP data structures and modern reporting needs
• Assist in the migration or replication of SAP BW data into Azure Data Lake or Synapse for enterprise-wide access
• Ensure data consistency and governance across platforms, supporting the goal of a single version of the truth

Minimum skills:

• 4–6 years of experience in SAP BW (including InfoProviders, extractors, and BEx query design)
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory (developing pipelines, datasets, transformations)
• Understanding of SAP data extraction via ODP, CDS Views, or flat file interface into Azure environments
• Basic to intermediate experience in Azure Databricks is a plus
• Exposure to reporting and visualization using Power BI or Tableau
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT workflows, and structured SQL development
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work across both SAP and cloud data environments
• Clear and confident communicator who can work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to navigate complexity
• Demonstrable experience applying agile mythologies (SCRUM)
• Good team player
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Advanced level of English

Preferred skills:

• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA or SAP HANA modeling
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and Git-based source control for data solutions
• Understanding of data architecture best practices in hybrid environments
• Any Azure data certification (e.g., DP-203) or SAP BW certification is a plus
• Exposure to modern BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
• Familiarity with Alteryx
