Job title: Developer (Azure)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Data Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics, familiarity with Azure Databricks, and a solid understanding of SAP BW data structures and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau. This role will contribute to the development, optimization, and support of our cloud data platform and reporting infrastructure.
Activities:
- Developing on a wide range of technologies related to Datalakes
- Development: SQL, SYNAPSE, Databricks, Fabric
- Tools: DEVOPS, Visual Studio, TFS, GIT
- Database: SQL Server
- Methodologies: Agile (SCRUM)
- SAP BW / SAC
- Power BI / Tableau
Minimum skills:
- 4–6 years of experience in data engineering or development roles in large scale projects
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (including dedicated SQL pools, data integration pipelines, Synapse Spark notebooks etc.)
- Good working knowledge of Azure Data Factory, SQL, and related data services
- Basic exposure or willingness to work with Azure Databricks with PySpark (development or orchestration)
- Solid understanding of SAP BW data models, InfoProviders, and data extraction methods (e.g., using ODP, CDS Views, or flat files)
- Proficiency in data modeling and ETL/ELT concepts
- Experience working on SQL environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to navigate complexity
- Experience in performance and tuning
- Demonstrable experience applying agile mythologies (SCRUM)
- Good team player
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Advanced level of English
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of data architecture concepts (e.g., data lakehouse, medallion architecture)
- Familiarity with data governance and security best practices in Azure
- Exposure to modern BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
- Familiarity with Alteryx
