Job Description
The role requires management of a number of projects and becoming involved in design at an early stage. The ability to plan and design deliverables against Italy Engineering standards for each stage of a project is a pre-requisite and training and guidance will be provided where necessary.
Responsibilities
Production of detailed road, accommodation track, highway, drainage or development infrastructure designs and construction drawings for various Italy projects including, transport, wind farm, solar plant, water projects.
Key Competencies / Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience on European projects, with knowledge of accommodation track design and modelling for wind farm access roads or track roads, in line with European standards and DMRB, is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience delivering projects using Autodesk Civil 3D; BIM exposure is an added advantage. Strong understanding of earthworks and grading, including quantities estimation, gained through past or current projects.
- Experience in crossdiscipline design coordination, with a sound understanding of design interfaces. Solid background in civil engineering, particularly in streets, roads, and highways design.
- Demonstrated experience in 2D layouts and 3D detailed modelling of roads, utilities, and junctions. Exposure to detailed design software for accommodation tracks, wind farm tracks, and street works.
- Selfmotivated professional capable of leading projects, delivering technical excellence, and supporting clients from early design stages across multiple projects.
- Ability to plan and deliver designs in line with Italian engineering standards across all project stages (training provided where required).
- Strong cultural awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with offshore teams. Highly motivated team player, able to work under pressure and supervise design and drafting teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master of Engineering in Civil / Transportation Engineering. Master's is preferred.
- Experience to work in/with other regions/ Countries is a plus.
- At least 6+ years experience of working with infrastructure projects and detail design of street, road and drainage.
BGV:
