Trane is excited to announce an opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Senior Product Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will lead product design and development across Value Engineering, Quality & Reliability, and New Product Development projects. You will collaborate closely with system integration and crossfunctional teams to create industryrelevant solutions that meet global customer requirements, while ensuring delivery to Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC) targets.

Where is the work

Onsite: This position follows an onsite work schedule, with work performed onsite 4 days each week.

What Will You Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead mechanical engineering projects requiring strong competency in Strength of Materials, structural design, and hand calculations
  • Facilitate product development activities including concept generation, design & development, planning, prototyping, pilot builds, design reviews, DVT, product validation, and launch
  • Support Advanced Engineering with input for FEA and CFD modeling and interpret CAE reports
  • Capture product requirements and work closely with global SMEs to deliver projects aligned with the Trane Technologies Product Development Process
  • Lead structured problemsolving efforts to resolve complex technical issues
  • Work independently with minimal supervision from a Team Lead/Manager
  • Drive VAVE projects endtoend from scoping through closure including shouldcosting, product teardowns, and ideageneration sessions
  • Coordinate crossfunctional teams to ensure successful implementation of engineering changes

What You Will Bring

  • BE or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of industry experience
  • Proven track record of leading VAVE projects with significant costreduction results
  • VAVE certification (SAVE/INVEST) preferred
  • Handson experience designing structural/ loadbearing components
  • Strong understanding of component design & manufacturing for plastics and sheetmetal parts
  • Experience with ProE modules (Part, Sheet Metal, Assemblytopdown/bottomup, Drawings) preferred
  • Basic understanding of materials science and electrical systems
  • Demonstrated ability to identify rootcause and implement effective corrective actions
  • Innovative mindset and ability to propose new methods and approaches
  • Strong teamwork orientation and ability to collaborate effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and results clearly
  • Experience managing lesscomplex projects from initiation through closure
