We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Firmware Engineer with strong industrial experience in advanced power converter systems. This role involves end-to-end ownership of power electronics firmware and embedded control development, with close interaction across hardware, system design, and validation.
The ideal candidate is self-driven, capable of taking products from concept to prototype to production, and motivated to work on next-generation power conversion technologies.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement control algorithms, firmware, and embedded software for power electronic systems.
- Implement PWM techniques, protection logic, grid-integration controls, and advanced control loops.
- Select and validate MCUs, DSPs, FPGAs, sensors, memories, and communication interfaces.
- Implement real-time control on TI C2000, ARM Cortex, FPGAs and Infineon platforms.
- Design and validate high-speed, high-power PCBs, focusing on EMI, parasitics, and creepage/clearance.
- Interface power hardware with embedded firmware and debug power stages.
- Perform system-level simulations, prototype testing, and support EMI/EMC and safety compliance.
Prepare technical documentation and support customer/OEM integration and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics (Master's preferred); PhD in Power Converter Design and Control is a plus.
- 210 years of experience in power electronics firmware and embedded control development.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++; familiarity with Python for testing and automation is an advantage.
- Experience with SiC based converters and high-frequency power conversion.
- Working knowledge of gate drivers, magnetics, PCB layout, and EMI/EMC filter design.
- Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and ISO standards and compliance requirements.
