Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Supervisor/Engineer with 4–7 years of experience in mechanical operations & maintenance, preferably with exposure to cryogenic facilities. This role involves supervising mechanical and electrical technicians, ensuring smooth day-to-day plant operations, and supporting senior engineers in mechanical and electrical domains. The position offers hands-on responsibility in maintaining critical systems while contributing to test readiness for rocket engine facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision & Coordination
- Lead and supervise mechanical and electrical technicians in daily O&M activities.
- Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Act as the first escalation point for technical issues before involving senior engineers.
Mechanical Systems O&M
- Maintain and troubleshoot cryogenic pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, piping networks, and mechanical utilities.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure mechanical system reliability.
- Support mechanical integrity checks for cryogenic systems and test readiness.
Electrical Systems Support
- Oversee technicians handling electrical distribution systems, motors, transformers, and control panels.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply for critical test operations in coordination with senior electrical engineers.
- Assist in instrumentation calibration and automation system upkeep when required.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce plant safety protocols (ISO 45001, IEC standards) across mechanical and electrical teams.
- Conduct routine safety checks, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation and compliance records in ERP systems.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Report directly to Senior Engineer – Mechanical and Senior Engineer – Electrical.
- Coordinate with civil, instrumentation, and automation teams for integrated plant operations.
- Support material management, facility audits, and test readiness activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred); Electrical / Electronics disciplines considered.
- 4–7 years of industrial plant O&M experience, ideally in aerospace or cryogenic facilities.
- Proven ability to supervise technicians and manage multi-domain operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, safety audits, and maintenance documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
