Job Title
Infrastructure Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Python and PowerShell Programmer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions that streamline IT operations, infrastructure management, and business processes. The ideal candidate should have strong scripting expertise, experience working in Windows environments, and the ability to develop scalable automation solutions integrated with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automation solutions using Python and PowerShell.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Create reusable scripts, modules, and utilities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Integrate applications, APIs, databases, and system tools through automation workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and scheduled jobs.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, QA, and support teams to understand automation requirements.
- Develop logging, exception handling, and monitoring capabilities within automation solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and security guidelines.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives through scripting and automation.
Required Technical Skills
Python
- Strong hands-on experience in Python development.
- Experience with:
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- REST API integration
- JSON/XML processing
- File and data manipulation
- Error handling and logging
- Familiarity with Python libraries such as:
- Requests
- Pandas
- Paramiko
- PyYAML
PowerShell
- Advanced scripting skills using PowerShell.
- Experience in:
- Windows Server administration automation
- Active Directory automation
- Scheduled jobs and task automation
- PowerShell modules and functions
- System monitoring and reporting
Additional Skills
- Experience with Git version control.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database queries.
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or cloud automation.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience working in enterprise IT environments.
- Exposure to DevOps and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Understanding of cybersecurity and secure coding practices.
