Role Purpose:
To ensure smooth, reliable, and safe operation of industrial machinery and plant processes including primary, secondary, and auxiliary equipment with a strong emphasis on field services, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. The role demands a hands-on professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to independently handle customer sites, optimize operations, and drive efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field service activities, including installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial machinery and automation systems.
- Independently manage service assignments at customer sites, ensuring timely execution and customer satisfaction.
- Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures to improve equipment reliability and performance.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work with a wide range of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, industrial controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Configure and troubleshoot measurement systems and instrumentation for process monitoring and optimization.Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and compliance standards in all operations.
- Handle industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, DeviceNet, and Ethernet-based systems.
- Read, understand, and modify high-level programming (C/C++/C#) to support automation and integration requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers to ensure service goals are achieved.
- Lead small service teams on projects, providing guidance, technical support, and mentoring.
- Prepare technical documentation, operational reports, and performance improvement records.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, documentation requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 810 years of proven experience in field services for industrial machinery.
- Strong exposure to installation and commissioning of machinery and automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with different PLC platforms and industrial control systems.
- Practical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and measurement systems.
- Proficiency in industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, DeviceNet, Ethernet, etc.).
- Ability to understand and work with C/C++/C# programming for automation support.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to root cause analysis.
