Senior Engineer

Role Description * Lead and support new product development activities from concept to production.

* Prepare, implement and monitor APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities

* Prepare and coordinate ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) and sample submission activities.

* Develop and review product designs, drawings, specifications and technical documents.

* Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase and other cross-functional teams.

* Support prototype development, testing, validation and trial activities.

* Identify and resolve technical/product-related issues.

* Conduct design reviews and implement engineering improvements.

* Support cost reduction, process improvement and product optimization.

* Prepare and maintain development-related documents and reports.

* Coordinate with customers and suppliers on technical requirements.

* Ensure development activities meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in mechanical, automotive, chemical, or related disciplines with hands-on experience in product design and development.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering tools and software (e.g., CAD, simulation/analysis tools) and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, including knowledge of quality standards, safety regulations, and process optimization.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to manage complex technical projects and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with cross-functional teams and mentoring less-experienced colleagues.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Chemical, or related field) from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience in fuel systems, energy technologies, or automotive components is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site in Tamil Nadu, India and adapt to a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
