Senior Engineer - iMAL QA

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic QA Lead with 6 - 8 years of experience in Core Banking systems, preferably with strong exposure to iMAL modules such as Customer Management, Account Management, Transaction Processing, and Financing. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in manual and automated testing, API testing, and modern test automation frameworks like Playwright (preferred) or Selenium. This role requires both leadership and hands-on capabilities, managing a team while actively contributing to test strategy, design, and execution. Exposure to cloud-based banking deployments will be an added advantage.

What will you do

• Lead and mentor a QA team to deliver high-quality releases for core banking (iMAL) projects.
• Define and execute QA strategies, ensuring robust coverage for manual, automated, and API testing.
• Perform hands-on test design, execution, and automation script development using Playwright (preferred) or Selenium.
• Oversee test planning, effort estimation, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and business analysts, to align on requirements and deliverables.
• Ensure quality governance, defect tracking, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Explore and integrate cloud-based testing approaches where applicable.

What skills required

• 6 8 years of QA experience in Core Banking systems, covering modules like Customer Management, Account Management, Transaction Processing, and Financing.
• Exposure to T24, Financle is a plus.
• Proven leadership experience managing QA teams while remaining hands-on with testing activities.
• Strong expertise in manual testing, automation frameworks (Playwright preferred, Selenium), and API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
• Experience in test strategy creation, execution planning, and stakeholder communication.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and cloud-based QA practices is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments and manage multiple priorities effectively.
