Job Summary

The Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer is responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing IAM solutions using Saviynt, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID. This position necessitates a combination of technical expertise and customer engagement capabilities to ensure the effective support and implementation of solutions in an enterprise environment. The Senior IAM Engineer provides technical leadership to junior engineering resources, documents best practices, and mentors IAM support teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to provisioning, deprovisioning, privilege management, and attestation.
  • Deploy and configure Saviynt, Active Directory, or Entra ID changes and enhancements, guaranteeing adherence organizational policies and regulatory compliance.
  • Assume end-to-end ownership for assigned IAM core processes ensuring organizational compliance with best practices and security policies.
  • Manage tools and scripts for monitoring system performance, completeness, and accuracy and identify opportunities to incorporate automation for auto-recovery or correction.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for solution designs, configurations, and best practices. Provide training and support to IAM support teams on processes and architecture.
  • Collaborate with IAM peers and architects on Saviynt, Active Directory, and Entra ID solutions including requirements analysis, solution design, application integration, testing/validation plans, and the establishment of security controls.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and foster the advancement of technical skills across the team. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (please Indicate If preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • At least 3+ years experience with support, maintenance, and configuration of Saviynt IGA and/or Saviynt EIC including integration with Entra ID/Azure AD, Active Directory, ServiceNow, and Workday.
  • At least 3+ years experience with support, maintenance, and configuration in Entra ID/Azure AD, Entra ID Identity Governance, LDAP Directories, and Active Directory administration required.
  • Experience with SQL, XML, JSON, and SOAP/REST APIs (Saviynt, Workday, MS Graph) preferred.
  • Experience with other Identity Providers (e.g., Okta, Ping, Google, etc.) a plus.
  • Solid understanding of IAM principles, account provisioning, and security policies.
  • Demonstrated experience with Entra ID single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Experience in the CRO/Biopharma industry a plus.
  • Self-directed and able to manage individual projects or work as part of a larger team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications; Solid written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Years of experience required: Minimum of 3 years of Identity Governance and Administration experience.

Physical Requirements: Position requires: ability to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office equipment, etc. and to move between office locations; ability to maintain a stationary position for prolonged periods of time; ability to occasionally manipulate (e.g., lift, carry, move) office items and packages of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; ability to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment (e.g., scanner, phone, printer, copier); ability to perceive and assess written materials for prolonged periods of time; and ability to frequently communicate with colleagues on the phone, by email, and in-person.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is low. This is a largely sedentary role.
