Job Description

Perform design, review, and detailed engineering for high voltage (HV) power systems including transmission lines, cables, and onshore infrastructure
Conduct calculations for inductive and capacitive coupling, electromagnetic interference, and electromagnetic compatibility
Develop earthing and bonding systems, including step and touch voltage calculations as per relevant standards
Analyze fault conditions in high voltage transmission networks and ensure system reliability
Prepare and review layouts, specifications, and design documents for HV power cables, transmission lines, and substations
Perform magnetic and electromagnetic field calculations using tools such as COMSOL, CDEGS, PSCAD, and EMTP
Execute insulation coordination studies, switching transient analysis, and transformer energization studies
Design overhead transmission lines, underground HV cables, substations, and grid interconnections across multiple voltage levels
Prepare technical reports, design calculations, drawings, and bill of materials for HV systems
Support tendering activities including man-hour estimation, CTR preparation, and review of tender documents
Coordinate with vendors, transmission system operators (TSO), contractors, and substation owners for project execution
Handle multidisciplinary project tasks and ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables
Lead and guide designers and draftsmen to maintain quality and efficiency in project execution
Perform site inspections, attend project meetings, and resolve site-related technical queries during construction
Conduct technical, economic, and environmental studies for HV projects
Ensure compliance with international standards and quality assurance procedures
Utilize project management tools to track project progress, cost, and schedule
