Brief Job Description:
The role involves providing technical support to field engineers for UPS and other power products, acting as a bridge between field engineers, Engineering, Factory, and Quality teams. The incumbent will ensure smooth operations by managing spares, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving initiatives to optimize the performance of critical power systems. The role also includes meeting customers for technical discussions and service reviews, and preparing technical analysis reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and guidance to field engineers on UPS and other power products.
- Coordinate between field engineers, Engineering, Factory, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for timely maintenance and service.
- Track and drive KPIs such as Response and Turnaround Time SLA, On-time Installation & Commissioning (I&C), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and overall team productivity.
- Meet customers for technical discussions, service reviews, and project updates.
- Prepare detailed technical analysis reports and documentation to support problem-solving and process improvements.
- Ensure optimal performance of critical power systems through proactive maintenance and support.
- Identify operational gaps and implement improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar industry, preferably with experience in power systems or UPS support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work across teams, locations, and customer interfaces.
Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Ability to work in field environments when required.
- Comfortable handling and inspecting electrical/power equipment.
- May involve occasional lifting or physical activity during equipment checks or installations.
Time Travel Required:
- The role requires travel to customer sites and field locations to support technical operations, coordinate with teams, meet customers, and ensure service and operational excellence.
