Responsibilities
The Sr. Engineer - Electrical will be entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities aimed at optimizing electrical systems, supporting project execution, and enhancing operational reliability. Key responsibilities include:
- Project Design & Engineering: Lead detailed electrical design activities, including power distribution, control systems, protection schemes, and grounding in compliance with national and international standards.
- Technical Evaluation & Documentation: Prepare and review technical documents such as specifications, datasheets, electrical drawings (single line diagrams, wiring diagrams), and material take-offs ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Procurement Support: Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate vendor proposals and select electrical equipment and components that meet project specifications, quality standards, and cost effectiveness.
- Installation & Commissioning: Provide technical guidance and supervision during the installation, testing, and commissioning phases to ensure adherence to design, safety, and operational parameters.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Develop preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems and troubleshoot complex electrical issues to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical engineering activities comply with statutory regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies. Promote a safety-first culture aligned with Adani's core values.
- Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to ensure timely project delivery, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, energy efficiency improvements, and implementation of latest electrical technologies to drive innovation.
- Training & Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to build a strong, skilled electrical engineering team within the organization.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, prepare progress reports, and present technical updates to management in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognized university.
Certification Required
- Certified Electrical Engineer (preferred)
- Professional certifications such as IEEE, IEC standards certification or relevant Power System certifications are advantageous
- Safety and quality management certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO) will be an added benefit
