The Engineer – EHS – Site is responsible for supporting the implementation of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems at the project site. The role ensures day-to-day monitoring of safety practices, compliance with standard operating procedures, and proactive identification of hazards. The incumbent supports site safety audits, training programs, contractor supervision, incident reporting, and environmental management activities to ensure a safe, compliant, and sustainable work environment.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
- Daily Site Safety Monitoring: Conduct routine inspections across work zones to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
- Compliance Support: Ensure adherence to all statutory, regulatory, and internal safety requirements, and maintain necessary EHS documentation.
- Contractor Safety Oversight: Monitor and guide contractor teams for proper PPE usage, safe work methods, and adherence to permit-to-work systems.
- Incident Reporting: Support timely reporting and investigation of incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. Maintain incident logs and support root cause analysis
- Toolbox Talks and Awareness: Organize and conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and daily safety briefings in coordination with site execution teams.
