As our Senior Engineer Product Application, you'll play a key role in delivering customized hydraulic fluidconveyance solutions that meet diverse customer specifications and align with Danfoss product capabilities.
Your expertise will help translate customer needs into technically sound application proposals across hoses, fittings, adapters, and couplings.
You will ensure that every customer request is transformed into an accurate, optimized, and manufacturable solution. Your work will strengthen customer confidence, improve proposal quality, accelerate the quotation process, and support the Specialty BU's growth strategy. Specialty BU, Design Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, and other crossfunctional teams at the Danfoss India Innovation Centre.
You will take ownership of interpreting customer specifications, defining applicationspecific configurations, and creating technically robust product solutionshelping us move toward a more
innovative and customercentric future.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead multiple product application projects to deliver accurate Fluid Conveyance solutions by interpreting customer specifications, defining product configurations, and ensuring all designs meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Support customers and internal stakeholders by resolving design issues, creating engineering documentation, developing CAD drawings (ProE Wildfire5 / AutoCAD), coordinating prototype development, and applying strong mathematical and GD&T principles.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, marketing, engineering, PLM teams (e.g., Enovia), and other crossfunctional partners on design modifications, engineering changes, tolerance stackups, and project priorities to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
- Use your skills in CAD design, engineering analysis, GD&T, Six Sigma (LEAN / DMAIC / DFSS), and problemsolving to improve product accuracy, application performance, documentation quality, and customer experience throughout the application process.
- Continuously learn and share knowledge to enhance how we innovate, including mentoring team members, adopting bestpractice engineering processes, and improving how the team interprets specifications, manages projects, and delivers customer solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 1012 years in the hydraulics or Fluid Conveyance industry, preferably in Application Engineering, with a strong ability to deliver accurate customerspecific technical solutions.
- Education: Fulltime Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering from a reputed institute, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to realworld product applications.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as Pro/Engineer (ProE) and AutoCAD, along with practical understanding of Six Sigma methodologies (LEAN / DMAIC / DFSS) to drive engineering and process improvements.
- Ability to work well independently and in crossfunctional teams, interpreting written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedulebased instructions while leading multiple customerdriven projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a mindset focused on problemsolving, continuous improvement, and customercentric collaboration across engineering and commercial functions.
