Position Overview
The Senior Engineer (CCTV / ACS / PAVA / Telephone) is responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control Systems, Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA), and PBX Telephone solutions. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on expertise, and the ability to ensure system uptime, compliance, and operational efficiency across a large infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. CCTV & Access Control Systems (ACS)
Installation, Configuration & Maintenance
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, NVRs, servers, and Milestone VMS applications.
- Install and maintain ACS readers, controllers, field devices, RTC/CDC units, and AC2000 application.
- Configure, test, and maintain offline devices for CCTV and ACS.
Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor CCTV/ACS applications, IT alarms, and services to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain proper camera positioning and ensure complete coverage of all critical interior and exterior areas.
- Ensure all CCTV/ACS devices remain active, healthy, and in optimal working condition.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose hardware/software faults and replace defective components when required.
- Provide technical support for installations, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repairs as per SLA.
- Maintain daily backups, performance checks, and incident/problem registers.
- Ensure timely resolution of complaints and operational issues.
Process & Compliance
- Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Maintain logs, documentation, and incident reports.
- Ensure spare-part availability and inventory readiness.
2. PAVA (Public Address & Voice Alarm Systems)
Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor PAVA systems remotely for alarms, failures, and performance issues.
- Ensure proper synchronization, scheduling, and functioning of PAVA announcements.
Configuration & Change Management
- Oversee upload/download of configuration changes performed by L3 engineers.
- Implement system changes and prepare PIR (Post Implementation Report).
- Prepare CIR (Corrective Incident Report) for critical issues.
Support & Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact with OEMs/vendors for troubleshooting and escalations.
- Handle incident troubleshooting, service request fulfilment, and change/problem management.
- Update, track, and resolve tickets related to PAVA operations.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to customers and key stakeholders.
- Communicate outage details promptly to relevant teams.
- Identify EOL/EOSL components in the PAVA environment.
3. Telephone / PBX Systems (Alcatel-Lucent)
Installation & Configuration
- Install, configure, and maintain Alcatel-Lucent PBX systems.
- Configure IP phones, digital phones, SIP extensions, voicemail, hunt groups, IVR, call forwarding, etc.
Operations & Maintenance
- Perform system upgrades, database maintenance, and backup/restore operations.
- Troubleshoot call drops, voice quality issues, and network-related telecom problems.
Vendor Coordination & User Support
- Coordinate with telecom providers for line activation, faults, and service availability.
- Provide first-line support to users and conduct training for phone features.
- Maintain documentation including wiring diagrams, port details, and extension lists.
Security & Standards
- Ensure compliance with call recording policies, telecom standards, and organizational security policies.
4. General Responsibilities
- Work in a 24x7x365 shift environment as per operational requirements.
- Maintain all ELV systems in a clean, secure, and compliant state.
- Support cross-functional teams and provide assistance to technicians as required.
- Maintain strong documentation practices for all systems and activities.
Required Skills & Technical Competencies
Technical Knowledge
- CCTV: Milestone VMS, IP Cameras, NVR/Server maintenance
- ACS: AC2000, hardware controllers, readers, RTC/CDC
- PAVA: System monitoring, vendor escalation, configuration management
- Telephone: Alcatel-Lucent PBX, SIP, VoIP, IVR
- OS: Windows, Linux fundamentals

Education
