Responsibilities:
- Detailed understanding of the telecom, security, and safety systems design for oil and gas projects.
- Detail design engineering for telecommunication systems with the application of engineering techniques, and procedures for a medium to large size projects
- Detailed understanding of the customer requirements, selecting the most technically compliant products, and providing solutions to the customer
- Interaction with vendors and customers for technical query clarifications. Preparation of technical queries by analysing the project specifications and resolving the queries with the customer.
- Preparation of various detail design documents such as system block diagrams, bill of materials, product datasheets, functional design specifications, system calculations such as power consumptions, optical link budget calculations, storage calculations, cabinet layouts, wiring drawings, general arrangement and installation drawings etc.
- Coordination with presales technical and business development teams.
- Coordination with procurement team for finalising the products and raising the purchase requisitions.
- Mentoring engineering personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics and telecommunications
- Relevant work experience of 5 to 10 Years
Technical Skills
- Optical fiber-based transmission systems including DWDM, MPLS/MPLS-TP, SDH Etc.
- LAN / WAN-based backbone network systems and WLAN
- Analog, VoIP, and Hybrid Telephone systems
- Security systems such as CCTV, Access Control, and Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems
- Safety Systems such as PAGA, Siren systems
- Knowledge of various UHF/VHF Tetra/DMR, Marine radio systems
- Understanding the cyber security requirements
