Execute and monitor daily production operations as per the defined plan, ensuring compliance with productivity, quality, and safety standards.
Allocate manpower effectively based on standard norms, approve operator leaves in coordination with shift in-charge, and ensure uninterrupted line operations.
Sustain and improve OEE by identifying downtime, speed loss, and quality issues through daily reviews and structured CAPA.
Utilize IoT dashboards and digital tools for real-time production tracking, and performance optimization.
Conduct quality drill-down analysis to identify recurring defects, develop targeted skill development plans, and drive defect reduction at source.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Purchase, Maintenance, PPC, Feeder Shop, ME, HR, Store etc.) for timely issue resolution and process alignment.
Support NPD through pilot builds, process validation, and BOM verification for new and existing products to ensure material correctness and assembly feasibility.
Lead initiatives for Value Engineering and Waste reduction to improve cost-efficiency and material utilization.
Ensure accurate data capture and analysis through SAP systems for production reporting, inventory tracking, and MIS.
Manage line-side inventory through regular monitoring, optimal stock levels, and coordination with stores to support JIT.
Supervise and motivate shop floor workforce, plan training interventions, conduct performance appraisals, and support subordinate development.
