Senior Engineer - Battery (New Product Development)

The Senior Engineer - Battery (NPD) will be responsible for spearheading the development of innovative, high-capacity battery systems, with a focus on advancing product designs and technologies to meet market demands. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for ideation, research, design, testing, and integration of battery solutions into the company's product portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader in battery systems development and play a critical role in ensuring the successful launch of cutting-edge energy storage solutions aligned with the company's sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of next-generation high-capacity battery systems (1 MWh and above) for new product lines.
• Design and prototype advanced battery architectures, ensuring scalability, safety, and performance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate market requirements into technical product specifications.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of battery technologies, focusing on efficiency, longevity, and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance to accelerate time-to-market for new products.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and project updates, for review by the HOD.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration between R&D, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product integration.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in battery technology, materials, and processes to inform future product development.
