Job Title: Senior Embedded Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Embedded Engineer to design, develop, and support mission-critical embedded systems for medical-grade products. This role requires strong ownership across embedded software, firmware, and hardware interaction, ensuring reliability, performance, regulatory readiness, and scalability from prototype to commercial deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware from requirements to production and commercial deployment.
* Lead and participate in system architecture, requirement analysis, and embedded design.
* Develop clean, efficient, and scalable code using embedded best practices.
* Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
* Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
* Interface closely with hardware design teams for board bring-up and hardwaresoftware integration.
* Integrate and validate new product designs and hardware revisions.
* Develop and maintain low-level drivers for UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, GPIO, etc.
* Support testing, validation, and post-production activities.
* Create prototypes, demonstrations, and technical feasibility studies.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation and design reports.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's / Master's degree or Diploma in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development.
* Strong proficiency in C and Embedded C; assembly knowledge is a plus.
* Extensive hands-on experience with 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers.
* Experience with STM32, Renesas, or similar MCU platforms.
* Solid understanding of the embedded software & firmware development lifecycle.
* Experience with board bring-up, hardware debugging, and system integration.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and hardware design documents.
* Experience developing device drivers and HAL layers.
* Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and documentation abilities.
* Experience with RTOS-based systems.
* Exposure to BLE-based embedded communication, including device connectivity, data transfer, or power optimization.
* Hands-on experience with medical devices (biosignal-based products).
* Familiarity with ISO 13485, medical device development processes, or FDA documentation.
* Exposure to protocol analysis, reverse engineering, and firmware optimization.
* Experience with PCB design tools (Altium Design or similar).
* Experience working in a product-based or healthcare startup environment.
* Prior experience mentoring or leading embedded teams.
