The Role
We are seeking a
highly skilled Senior Email Infrastructure & Deliverability Engineer to architect, optimize, and maintain enterprise-grade email delivery systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in large-scale email infrastructure, deliverability best practices, and performance analytics to ensure maximum inbox placement and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Email Infrastructure Design: Deploy, configure, and optimize high-volume email servers (Postfix, PowerMTA, MailWizz, Postal, etc.) for scalability and reliability.
- IP & Domain Strategy: Implement multi-domain/IP configurations with structured warm-up plans to maintain strong sender reputation.
- Deliverability Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and rDNS standards to maximize inbox placement and mitigate spam filtering.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop custom analytics dashboards for real-time tracking of sending limits, throttling, and key performance indicators.
- Volume Optimization: Fine-tune sending algorithms, pacing, and throttling to balance deliverability and throughput.
- Bounce & Complaint Management: Implement best practices to monitor, reduce, and report bounce rates, spam complaints, and engagement metrics.
- Reputation & Compliance Oversight: Proactively monitor IP/domain health, blacklist status, and industry compliance, executing remediation strategies as needed.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy and manage high-performance email stacks on AWS, Contabo, DigitalOcean, and other cloud/VPS platforms.
Ideal Profile
- 5+ years in enterprise email infrastructure (Postfix, PowerMTA, MailWizz, Postal, etc.).
- Mastery of email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, rDNS) and deliverability optimization.
- Proven ability to design IP warm-up strategies, volume controls, and throttling mechanisms.
- Experience with real-time analytics, logging, and custom reporting dashboards.
