Roles and Responsibilities

A Senior Electrician is responsible for overseeing all electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works within the facility. The role involves supervising a team of electricians, assigning tasks, and ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently while following company standards and statutory electrical regulations. The Senior Electrician handles troubleshooting of electrical faults, inspects and maintains wiring, switchboards, panels, motors, and control systems, and ensures preventive maintenance schedules are followed. They interpret electrical drawings, provide technical guidance to junior staff, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other departments for smooth operation of all electrical systems. Additionally, the Senior Electrician manages material requirements, prepares reports, maintains documentation, and ensures that all tools, equipment, and installations comply with safety standards and operational guidelines.
