Job Description

Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a highly skilled Electrical/ Electronic Engineer III with a good understanding of various electronics/electrical components. The candidate will be part of a team assisting in the delivery of efficient engineering support and solutions to customers while also contributing to the development of the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own obsolescence activities requiring design changes and qualification process along with

documentation deliverables.

  • Support NPI and upgrade activities from concept, design reviews, prototyping, to factory release.
  • End-to-end ownership: Work collaboratively with the cross-functional team comprising mechanical, software, system and process engineering (in different geographies) to develop and qualify engineering solutions.
  • Design electrical systems to the specifications of our clients, keeping safety and compliance with all local and federal laws and regulations at the forefront of your mind.
  • Work on power box/electrical panel and cable assembly designs
  • Review designs to ensure they will be safe, fit the clients needs, and remain in compliance.
  • Participate in design reviews to present the design throughout the different phases of design and development.
  • Identify project risks and perform FMEA or provide mitigations strategy to eliminate risk.
  • Plan each phase of the engineering while coordinating with other team to ensure each deadline is met.
  • Analyze field issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Review documentation of the team and provide guidance.

Eligibility Criteria

Required Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical/ electronics with experience of 6-10 years.

Master's degree is preferred with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

Must be comfortable working with US-based timings.

Mandatory Skills:

Must have a good understanding of the electrical & electronics components, schematics/system

interconnect.

Must be able to select and recommend components depending upon application and circuit

requirements.

Hands-on experience of testing electronics components- bench level test and system level test.

Must be up to date on all electrical codes, laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Good project management skillset and multi-tasking capability

Must be an excellent planner with strong time management skills

Good to have:

Exposure of working on part lifecycle management, change orders using any PLM system.

Experience in working on electronic components obsolescence

Understand concepts of Reliability & system engineering

Understanding of RF

Understanding on PCB and components

Hands-on experience with AUTOCAD/Zuken/PCAD software.
