Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems for industrial equipment. The role involves electrical architecture design, control panel development, component selection, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams for industrial machines.
- Lead electrical system architecture and component selection including power supplies, relays, drives, sensors, protection devices, and connectors.
- Prepare and review Bill of Materials (BOM), electrical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with embedded, mechanical, and production teams for system integration.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and electrical regulations.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support manufacturing during product build.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for component selection and technical clarifications.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in electrical circuit design and industrial control systems.
- Hands-on experience with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar software.
- Knowledge of PLC interfaces, sensors, actuators, drives, and industrial automation systems.
- Understanding of power distribution, protection systems, and control panel design.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex electrical issues during development and production.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in electrical design and development in industrial machinery, automation, or textile machinery.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in machine control systems and panel wiring standards.
- Familiarity with embedded systems integration.
- Knowledge of CE / international electrical safety standards is an advantage.
