Role Overview
The Senior Ayurvedic Doctor will lead patient consultations, provide accurate diagnosis, and design personalised treatment plans for chronic and lifestyle-related conditions. The role requires strong clinical judgement along with the ability to build patient trust through clear, empathetic communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth patient consultations and clinical evaluations
- Review patient history, pre-consult notes, and available diagnostic inputs
- Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate Ayurvedic medicines & therapies
- Clearly explain treatment plans, expected outcomes, and timelines to patients
- Address patient doubts and concerns in a calm, non-alarming manner
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and prescriptions using standard formats
- Guide and align with junior doctors, nutritionists, and therapists on patient care
- Review follow-ups and modify treatment plans as required
Skills & Attributes
- Strong grounding in Ayurvedic diagnosis and chronic disease management
- Excellent verbal communication and patient counselling skills
- Ability to hold structured, unhurried conversations with patients
- High level of empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence
- Comfortable using digital systems for viewing patient data and records
- Professional, composed, and reassuring bedside manner
