Opportunity

Security is foundational to Adobe's product development and operational excellence. Our security practices are deeply embedded across our software lifecycle and are continuously refined through collaboration with global partners, leading researchers, and industry organizations. These efforts ensure Adobe remains at the forefront of threat detection, prevention, and incident response.

We are seeking a Senior Director of Security India to lead and expand Adobe's global security engineering capabilities, with a strong focus on our India operations. This executive will play a critical role in shaping Adobe's security strategy, driving innovation, and building trust with our customers by ensuring their data is protected and privacy is preserved.

Role Summary

As a Senior Director, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational excellence of Adobe's Security organization in India. You will collaborate closely with the CSO, global engineering leaders, and cross-functional partners to shape and drive enterprise-wide security initiatives, in addition to engaging externally with CTO/CIO/CISOs of our APAC customers. This role requires a visionary leader with deep technical expertise, strong people leadership, and a proven track record of influencing at the executive level.

What You'll Do

• Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the long-term vision for Adobe's security engineering function in India, aligned with global security priorities.
• Site Presence: Continue to build the security brand and presence in India with leaders across Adobe.
• Customer-Facing: Engage with CTO/CIO/CISOs of our APAC customer to help build trust in our products, build relationships and help answer their security related questions, and in case of a security incident, quickly come up to speed to lead customer confidence calls.
• Global Collaboration: Partner with the CSO and senior leaders across engineering, legal, and cloud infrastructure to drive cohesive security strategies.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee delivery of high-impact security services, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.
• Innovation & Engineering: Lead teams in developing innovative solutions for application security, cloud security, and cyber defense.
• Risk Management: Champion enterprise risk mitigation strategies, including threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Talent Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of security engineers, researchers, and ethical hackers. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and inclusion.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establish trust and influence with senior executives, internal partners, and external vendors to advance Adobe's security posture.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to global security standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Thought Leadership: Represent Adobe in industry forums, contribute to security research, and drive awareness of emerging threats and standard processes.
• Complexity: Navigate a highly matrixed organization, building on strong partnerships across regions to shape security strategy, execution, and long-term Adobe success and reputation.

What You Need to Succeed

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Security Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in security engineering, including 10+ years in leadership roles with global scope.
• Proven success leading large-scale security programs across cloud, application, and enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, threat intelligence, and secure software development practices.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code, security automation, and compliance as code.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, building strong partnerships across regions, influencing senior partners, and building customer relationships.
• Recognized as an influential, innovative, and collaborative leader in the industry.
• Certifications such as CISM, CISA, or CISSP are a plus.
• Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and executive presence, both internally and externally.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices.
