We are looking for a Senior DevOps Specialist, PDMdatabasesto strengthen KONE'sProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM) team.

We are looking for aSenior DevOps Specialist, PDM Databasestooperate, monitor, and continuously improve our missioncriticalAWS Aurora PostgreSQLdatabase environment. The roleis responsible forensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational excellence of our production database platforms that support key business applications.

This position requires handsonexpertisein PostgreSQL internals, AWS Aurora operations, monitoring, performance tuning, and strong automation skills.

What You Will Do

  • Operate,monitor, andmaintainour AWS Aurora PostgreSQLenvironment

  • Optimizedatabase performance using query analysis, execution plans, and indexing strategies

  • Ensure disaster recovery readiness

  • Configure PostgreSQL parameters, extensions, and support efficientdatabase usage

  • Implement monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and related tools

  • Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices

  • Collaborate with application, cloud, and platform teams to improve reliability and scalability

What We're Looking For

Technical skills

  • Strong experience administering PostgreSQL in production (vacuum, WAL, tuning)

  • Strong hands-onexpertisewith AWS Aurora PostgreSQL: cluster management, failover, parameter groups

  • Ability to diagnose performance issues withpg_stat_statements, execution plans, and Aurora metrics

  • Strong SQL skills with proven experience in query optimization

  • Experience with AWSmonitoringtools: CloudWatch Logs, Enhanced Monitoring, Performanceand LogInsights

  • Proficiencyin automation/scripting

  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation)

Preferredexperience

  • Working with large-scale, high-throughput database systems

  • Experience with indexing strategies, and performance benchmarking

  • Background inoperatinghighly availabledistributed architectures

  • Prior involvement in incident management and root cause analysis

  • Exposure to compliance, auditing, and secure database operations

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-basedworkflows

  • Practical experience incloud basedAWSproduction environments supportingand developingscalable, globalservices.based

Educationandcertifications

  • Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

  • PostgreSQL certifications (e.g., EDB PostgreSQL Associate/Professional) are a plus

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Database - Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional are highly valued

  • Training or coursework in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or data engineering

  • Continuous learning mindset with up-to-date knowledge of PostgreSQL and AWS advancements
