Job Summary:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and
management of the infrastructure and deployment processes that support our development and
operations teams. This position requires a deep understanding of DevOps practices, cloud platforms,
and automation tools, as well as the ability to mentor junior engineers and lead initiatives to improve
efficiency, security, and scalability across the organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and Implement CI/CD Pipelines:
- Design, build, and maintain robust continuous integration and continuous deployment
(CI/CD) pipelines that streamline code deployment and improve delivery speed.
- Automate testing, integration, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality
software releases
- Infrastructure Design and Management:
- Architect and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Optimize cloud resource usage to improve performance and reduce costs
- Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, configuration
management, and operational tasks.
- Identify opportunities for automation to enhance productivity and reduce manual
intervention
- Monitoring, Logging, and Incident Management:
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system
reliability and performance.
- Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis, mitigation, and post-
incident reviews
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure, including
access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Ensure compliance WITH_REPLACED industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR,
HIPAA, or SOC 2
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate WITH_REPLACED development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless
integration and delivery processes
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering
a culture of continuous improvement
- Cloud Platform Expertise:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), providing
guidance on architecture, cost optimization, and cloud-native services.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment WITH_REPLACED business
objectives
- Performance Optimization:
- Analyse system performance and scalability issues and implement solutions to optimize
resource utilization and application responsiveness
- Conduct capacity planning and load testing to ensure systems can handle anticipated
growth
- Tooling and Process Improvement:
- Evaluate, select, and implement DevOps tools that enhance productivity, collaboration,
and security
- Continuously refine DevOps processes and practices to improve efficiency, reduce
downtime, and support rapid development cycles
- Strategic Planning and Innovation:
- Participate in strategic planning for infrastructure and DevOps initiatives, aligning
technical solutions WITH_REPLACED business goals
- Stay current WITH_REPLACED industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive
innovation within the organization
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience of 5 to 7 years WITH_REPLACED cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native
architectures
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and automation frameworks
(Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and coding practices
- Deep understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
- Proven experience WITH_REPLACED monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Solid knowledge of networking, security principles, and compliance frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in complex
environments
- Leadership experience WITH_REPLACED a track record of mentoring and guiding teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, WITH_REPLACED the ability to work effectively across
departments
