Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary: We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform DevOps team, focusing on improving the software development lifecycle for engineering teams. The role involves designing and operating scalable CI/CD systems, cloud infrastructure, and developer tooling, collaborating closely with Software Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple engineering teams.
• Support and optimize CircleCI and hybrid CI environments, including self-hosted runners and executors.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering and SRE teams to enhance build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Develop automation and tooling using Go, or be willing to work with Go and AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude.
• Provision and manage infrastructure configurations using Terraform.
• Build and maintain containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement CI/CD security best practices, including secrets management and vulnerability scanning.
• Troubleshoot build failures, infrastructure issues, and deployment bottlenecks.
• Enhance reliability, scalability, and developer experience across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical standards across the platform.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role.
• Strong experience with CircleCI or a similar SaaS CI/CD platform (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD design patterns and best practices.
• Software engineering background with coding proficiency.
• Comfortable with Go or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
• Experience in AWS-based environments or similar cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience supporting developer and SRE workflows.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Chainguard container images.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Familiarity with CI/CD security concepts, including IAM, OIDC, and supply chain security.
• Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
