We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect and evolve our next-generation cloud platform. In this role, you will move beyond standard automation to lead the technical vision for our infrastructure, driving developer velocity and system resilience through an AI-first operational mindset. You will act as a hands-on technical authority, bridging the gap between complex product requirements and robust GitOps-driven, AIOps-enabled operational design.
What You Will Do
- Architect & Innovate: Own the technical roadmap for our AWS ecosystem, transitioning from standard automation to a self-service, AIOps-driven platform model that empowers our engineering and QA teams using modern GitOps workflows.
- Scale Kubernetes Operations: Direct the evolution of our EKS and K8s environments, focusing on advanced orchestration (ArgoCD), mTLS security, and intelligent scaling using tools like Cast.ai.
- Modernize CI/CD: Manage and optimize a world-class delivery pipelinetransitioning from Jenkins toward cloud-native solutions like AWS CodeBuild and Step Functionsto ensure seamless, secure deployments across our entire data and software lifecycle.
- Integrate AIOps & Agentic Tooling: Leverage AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and AIOps strategies to implement self-healing infrastructure, proactive anomaly detection, and autonomous pipeline optimizations.
- Drive Data Infrastructure: Support large-scale data environments involving Kafka, Druid, and Athena, ensuring high availability and performance for complex data pipelines.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Solution Architecture, Product Management, and Engineering leadership to align infrastructure capabilities with business growth and product innovation.
- Performance Engineering: Implement sophisticated observability and cost-optimization strategies using Grafana and CastAI to maintain a lean, high-performing cloud footprint.
Your Technical Arsenal
- Cloud & Orchestration: Expert-level AWS (VPC, Networking, ECR) and deep production experience with Kubernetes (EKS, K8s Ingress, mTLS) and ArgoCD.
- Infrastructure as Code: Advanced proficiency in terraform and Ansible for maintaining immutable infrastructure.
- Automation & CI/CD: Strong command of Python and Bash; experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and AWS serverless automation (Lambda, Step Functions).
- AI & Observability: Building proactive AIOps frameworks via Grafana and utilizing AI coding tools like Cursor to accelerate delivery.
- Data & Middleware: Hands-on experience with RDS (Postgres), Kafka, and big data tools like Druid or Athena.
- Security & Quality: Integration of SonarQube and CodeArtifact into the SDLC, with a focus on network security and identity management.
Qualifications
- Experience: 810+ years in DevOps/SRE roles, with a proven track record of managing highly agile, large-scale environments.
- Modern Mindset: Familiarity with GitOps principles and a passion for applying AI/ML to operations to reduce noise and MTTR.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to remove technical roadblocks, provide architectural guidance to peers, and foster a culture of innovation.
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
