Senior DevOps Engineer AWS & Kubernetes (EKS)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the DevOps and engineering teams.
• Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and promote automation-first practices.
• Drive adoption of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous monitoring solutions.
• Architect, deploy, and manage Kubernetes workloads (EKS) and Dockerized applications.
• Create and manage Helm charts, reusable templates, and deployment libraries.
• Implement security best practices, including IAM governance and secure deployment models.
• Oversee system monitoring, performance tuning, and incident response using Datadog, Splunk, and CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure goals with product and business objectives.
• Lead initiatives to optimize cost, enhance reliability, and improve operational efficiency across cloud environments.

Years of Experience:

• 6-9 years of relevant hands-on experience with cloud engineering, AWS infrastructure, and DevOps practices.

Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional):

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer certification preferred.

Skill Set Required:

Must have:

• Strong hands-on experience withAWSin a production environment.
• Expertise inKubernetes (EKS),Docker, andTerraform (IaC).
• Proficiency withJenkins,Git, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Strong knowledge ofLinux/UNIXsystems andshell scripting.
• Experience withmonitoring tools(Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk).
• Proficiency inPythonor equivalent scripting language.
• Experience inAgileandDevOpsenvironments with cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have:

• Experience managing large-scalemulti-account AWS environments, including IAM and federated SSO.
• Familiarity withCDN providers(e.g., Akamai).
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence decisions.
• Experience in implementinglogging, alerting, andcost optimizationstrategies.
• Proven ability to work independently and drive cloud modernization initiatives.
