Job Title: Senior Developer (Full Stack Java) - SAP SuccessFactors

Location: Devanahalli Campus, Bangalore North

What you'll build

At SAP SuccessFactors, you'll build scalable, enterprise-grade Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions that power critical business processes across global organizations. In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop highly scalable full stack applications supporting areas like Workforce Planning, Story Reports, and People Analytics
  • Build robust backend services and APIs that handle large-scale enterprise data with high performance and reliability
  • Architect and implement multi-tenant, cloud-native SaaS solutions
  • Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and resilience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Contribute to engineering excellence through clean code, design patterns, and best practices
  • Your work will directly impact on how customers manage and analyze workforce data at scale.

What you bring

Core Engineering:

  • 8+ years of experience building enterprise applications using Java/J2EE
  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST/OData APIs.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and system architecture. Experience designing scalable and distributed systems

Backend & Data:

  • Strong experience with data modeling, database design, and performance tuning. Hands-on with SQL/relational databases and working with large datasets
  • Experience building high-performance APIs and backend services

Cloud & DevOps:

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins/TeamCity
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools

Frontend (Good to have):

- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS or modern UI frameworks

Ways of Working:

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Ability to lead technical design discussions and mentor engineers
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration across teams

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or other HCM systems
  • Exposure to Workforce Planning, Story Reports, or People Analytics domains
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Basic familiarity with integrating AI/ML services into applications (optional)
