Senior Designer Ladieswear

About the Role:We are looking for aSenior Designer Ladieswearwho is creative, trend-aware, and experienced in designing garments for mass-market consumers. The role includes designing seasonal women s collections, leading a design team, and working closely with sourcing and merchandising to ensure great products reach our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Product Development

• Create original apparel designs forwomen s wear(ethnic, casual, western, innerwear, etc.).
• Design seasonal collections and fashion capsules based on customer needs and pricing.
• UseAdobe IllustratorandCorelDRAWfor sketches, print designs, and tech packs.

Trend Market Research

• Research latest trends in colors, fabrics, fits, and styles, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
• Study competitors and buying patterns to create the right product mix.

Assortment Planning

• Plan collections as per option plan and pricing guidelines.
• Ensure a balance of trendy and basic items for budget-friendly customers.

Team Process Coordination

• Lead a team of junior designers and design coordinators.
• Work with sourcing, merchandising, and production teams to ensure timely execution from concept to store.

Vendor Sample Management

• Guide suppliers for fabric and print development.
• Handle sample development and get approvals on time.

Skills Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Fashion/Apparel Design from a top design institute.

• Minimum7 yearsof experience in fashion retail or apparel manufacturing.
• Good knowledge ofdesign softwarelike Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and tools like Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, pricing, and the fashion production process.
• Good leadership, communication, and time management skills.
