Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Designer specializing in Bridges and Structures to join our Transportation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on global, high-profile projects, leveraging cutting-edge BIM and CAD technologies to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design & Modelling :
  • Undertake structural modelling and detailing on global projects using REVIT & AutoCAD.
  • Develop bridge models in Revit from scratch

Prepare bridge drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Create and edit drawings and sketches in compliance with AECOM standards.
  • Develop RC intent drawings and modify 3D BIM models for federated model development.

Quality Assurance :
  • Review and monitor the production of drawings to maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including ISO 19650 or COBie.

Client Interaction :
  • Maintain regular communication with lead regions, and projects lead to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery.

Team Collaboration :
  • Liaise with team managers to stay informed on project developments.
  • Provide guidance to the project team, fostering a qualitative and client-focused culture.

Qualifications
  • Recognized Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in structural engineering modelling and detailing, with a focus on bridges.
  • Proven expertise in 3D modelling using tools like Revit Structures and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in ProjectWise, BIM 360/ACC, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction sequencing.
  • Ability to create custom families and templates to enhance BIM workflows.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in English, with a strong command of technical terminology.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or COBie standards is highly desirable.
