Senior Design Manager -Aviation

• Design Management & Delivery

Lead end-to-end design management from concept to IFC/GFC stages. Plan, monitor, and manage design deliverables to align with project scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives. Ensure design interfaces across multiple disciplines are coordinated and integrated.

• Multidisciplinary Coordination

Coordinate architectural, civil, structural, MEP, systems, and specialist design teams. Lead design coordination meetings and workshops. Resolve design clashes, scope gaps, and interface risks proactively. Ensure timely inputs and outputs across all internal and external stakeholders.

• Quality, Standards & Compliance

Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, regulations, and client requirements. Implement quality management processes and conduct design reviews. Manage design risks, change control, and documentation.

• Stakeholder & Client Engagement

Act as the primary design interface with clients, authorities, and partner organizations. Support client presentations, design reviews, and technical workshops. Coordinate responses to authority comments and design approvals. Build trusted client and stakeholder relationships.

• Leadership & Team Management

Provide leadership to design managers, discipline leads, and design coordinators. Mentor team members on design management best practices. Review and approve key deliverables prior to issue. Promote collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.

• Commercial & Business Support

Lead proposals, scope definition, methodology, and fee inputs. Assist project directors with resource planning and program management. Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and innovation initiatives. Promote sustainable and value-led design consistent with Ramboll values.
