AtGetStructured, we have been exclusively deputed by our client, a respected agency and legacy business with over two decades of market presence, to lead their search for a Senior Design Lead. With 20+ years of industry experience, our client is now looking to strengthen their leadership team with a seasoned design professional who can shape product direction, mentor teams, and bring strategic design thinking to the forefront of their growth journey.
What You'll Own:
- All visual output for client deliverables: ad creatives (static + motion), social media graphics, landing page design, email design, presentation decks, CRM/WhatsApp templates
- Design systems and brand guidelines for each client account, ensuring visual consistency across hundreds of assets per month
- Rebuilding the design team: hiring 2-3 designers, establishing skill matrices, and creating a production pipeline
- Template libraries and design toolkits that enable the team to produce at volume without sacrificing quality
- Design QA: final review on all visual assets before they go to clients or go live
- UI/UX for Growth OS platform interfaces, client dashboards, and landing page frameworks
- Vendor and freelancer management for overflow design work during peak periods
What Success Looks Like in 90 Days
- Design team rebuilt: at least 2 designers hired, onboarded, and producing work independently
- Template system created for top 5 clients: reusable templates for ads, social posts, email, and landing pages
- Design turnaround SLAs established and being met: standard creative within 24-48 hours
- Visual audit completed for all active accounts with recommendations for improvement
- Design review process operational: clear checkpoints for creative quality before client delivery
You Must Have
- 6-10 years in design, with at least 2 years leading a design team in an agency or high-volume production environment
- Expert proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), and Canva (for team enablement)
- A portfolio showing range: performance ad creatives, social media design, landing pages, email templates, and brand systems
- Experience designing for performance marketing: you understand that a creative's job is to convert, and you can design A/B test variants
- Production management experience: you've managed design pipelines producing 100+ assets per month
- Team building experience: you've hired, mentored, and managed junior/mid designers
Strong Advantages
- Motion design skills: ability to create short-form video ads, GIFs, and animated social content
- UI/UX experience for SaaS or dashboard design (relevant for Growth OS)
- Comfort with AI design tools: Midjourney, DALL-E, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly for rapid prototyping
- Experience with real estate, healthcare, or B2B tech visual communication
What This Role is NOT
- A solo designer role: you will design when needed, but your primary job is to build and run the function
- A pure brand identity role: most of the output is performance and digital, not print or brand books
- A creative strategy role: you execute on the creative vision set by the Head of Creative, not define it independently
