Senior Design Engineer

Provide essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and perform assigned engineering work.

Promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services and technical competence.

Serve as Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects or perform moderately complex engineering assignments.

Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques to complex assignments.

Oversee mid-size/large projects including planning, scheduling, reporting, staffing, cost estimating and analysis, and change management.

Coordinate with clients, vendors, and other disciplines, including participation in meetings and decision-making.

Apply technical knowledge in electrical system design, system studies, electrical packages, hazardous area classification, installation contracts, substation layouts, motor schematics, cable schedules, and interfaces with mechanical packages.

Use ETAP or SKM software for design analysis.

Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.

Participate in procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities.

Review vendor documentation for compliance with project requirements and resolve discrepancies.

Analyze and provide independent recommendations for solutions to engineering problems of varying complexity.

Perform effort-hour estimating, staff forecasting, and ensure practical field execution.
