Job SummaryWe are looking for a Design Engineer with strong experience in bulk material handling systems, specifically in the design of idlers, belt conveyors, and feeders. The role involves end-to-end mechanical design, calculations, drawings, and technical support for project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Design and engineering of bulk material handling systems, including:
- Belt conveyors
- Idlers
- Feeders
- Perform design calculations for capacity, belt selection, power requirements, and structural components
- Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOMs
- Coordinate with project, procurement, and manufacturing teams
- Review technical specifications, layouts, and customer requirements
- Provide technical support during fabrication, erection, and commissioning stages
- Ensure designs comply with relevant IS / CEMA / DIN standards
Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 38 years of experience in bulk material handling system design
- Strong knowledge of conveyor, idler, and feeder design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (SolidWorks / Inventor is an advantage)
- Good understanding of materials, load calculations, and manufacturing practices
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
Preferred- Experience in power plants, cement, steel, mining, or process industries
- Exposure to site coordination and vendor drawing review
