Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in MongoDB, MariaDB, and MySQL. The ideal candidate will manage, monitor, optimize, and support production and non-production database environments. You will work closely with development and SRE teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of database systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain MongoDB, MariaDB, and MySQL databases
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Optimize queries and support developers with performance tuning
- Manage database backup, recovery, and security
- Implement automation using Python and Shell scripting
- Support database clusters in production environments
- Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis
- Work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams
Required Skills
- 6+ years of overall experience, with 4+ years as a DBA
- Hands-on experience in MongoDB, MariaDB, and MySQL
- Strong SQL knowledge and database tuning experience
- Experience with NoSQL databases and cluster management
- Good understanding of Linux systems
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, or Perl)
- Experience handling production database environments
Good to Have
- Experience with ElasticSearch and Redis
- Exposure to Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Cassandra
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
