The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist 2 who dreams big and moves fast. In this role, you won't just be building models; you will be architecting the future of healthcare. You will lead the charge in deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI that transform how medical practices operateturning complex data into actionable insights and creating customer delight at every touchpoint.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Innovate Boldly: Lead the design and development of LLM-powered solutions for clinical summarization, intelligent chat, and document understanding that directly impact patient care.
- Architect Excellence: Build end-to-end ML pipelines and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures using vector databases like Pinecone or Weaviate to ensure our AI is grounded and reliable.
- Optimize & Refine: Fine-tune state-of-the-art models (GPT, LLaMA, Mistral) and apply advanced prompt engineering to solve specialty-specific healthcare challenges.
- Think Big & Lead: Own project delivery and stakeholder communication, ensuring our AI initiatives are ethical, scalable, and governable.
- Mentor & Grow: Foster a culture of experimentation and fun, mentoring junior scientists to help them reach their full potential.
The Essentials
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience: 812 years in Data Science/ML, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on LLMs and Generative AI.
- Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on expertise in Python and frameworks like PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
- Cloud Fluency: Proven ability to deploy models at scale using AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or GCP Vertex AI.
- MLOps Mindset: Experience with MLflow, Airflow, Docker, and Kubernetes to ensure our bold innovations are also stable and reliable.
- Academic Foundation: A strong grasp of statistical analysis and evaluation techniques to mitigate hallucinations and ensure clinical accuracy.
Bonus Points
- Experience navigating the complexities of Healthcare AI (HIPAA, clinical data).
- Familiarity with multi-modal models (integrating text with medical imaging or audio).
- A passion for ethics and fairness in AI systems.
