We're seeking someone to join our CDRR team as a Senior Data Modeller, in Technology Risk. Candidate with strong experience in designing comprehensive logical and physical models accommodating for different views and audiences. The ideal candidate brings expertise conceptual, logical, and physical data models and experience with concepts of Data Governance and Data Taxonomies. This role requires strong ownership, problemsolving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.

CDRR mission is to deliver first-line defences to manage Cyber and Fraud risks to Morgan Stanley's technology, operations and information through risk identification, control management and assurance. This is a Lead Data Modeller position at Vice President Level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintains tooling solutions that support business needs.

What You'll Do In The Role

  • Document logical and physical Data Governance data model for the Firm's catalog
  • Design capability to create multiple views of the Data Governance data model
  • Map Data Governance data model to underlying data and derive associated metrics
  • Work with product teams to explain Data Governance data model and ensure adherence of solutions

What You'll Bring To The Role

  • 810 years of handson experience in data modelling
  • At least 6 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Programming experience in Python or Java
  • Experience with data model documentation and visualizations/diagramming (preferably generated programmatically)
  • Ability to analyse data requirements and develop data structures that meet business needs.
  • Ability to explain complex solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Collibra asset model
  • Experience in Data Governance and Data Taxonomy programmes
